We were so excited to see our clients Dan and Will Waibel, featured in the home section of the Chicago Tribune. They did an excellent job in design and it's continually amazing to see their talents and craftsmanship expressed in each unique project. We were also so excited to see two of our images in print. Milwaukee, WI - Architecture [round two]

I finely made my way back up to Milwaukee for the second time. It only took me a year or so, but I made up there again. Anyway, I toured the museum and walked the streets with some fantastic friends having a great time. However, you don't visit my blog for my anecdotal commentary of my life. Due to this fact here are the pix from the escapade. Enjoy!

Client Site Launch - Dan Waibel Designer/Builder

While on the slopes yesterday I received an email informing me that Dan Waibel Designer/Builder went live with their new site. This particular news is exciting for me due to spending all of last year working with them to photographically capture their portfolio.

Dan Waibel is designer and builder of high-end custom homes throughout Central Illinois. As you will quickly witness from their portfolio, each house, each remodel, each custom furniture piece is it's own unique work of art. Their attention to detail and styling is simply magnificent.

Peoria Illinois Skyline

One of the great things about living in the Peoria is all the readily available photography locations. There are very few fences and yet a lot of great old warehouse locations. In addition to all the great urban environments, Peoria is also surrounded by some of the most beautifully expansive natural landscapes around. This skyline pic was captured for a friend and owner of the new creative marketing agency Dalvay Group. James is going to be going live with his new site soon in which this photo will be making an appearance on.

Peoria Home Show.

I popped in at the Peoria Illinois Spring Home Show to pick up cards and potentially meet venders, but more specifically see the booths utilizing my photos. This past year I did work for two builders in the area - Hoerr Building Group and Dan Waibel Designer/Builder. This coming year I'll be continuing work for each of these guys along with picking up some new ones. Anyway, here are a couple photos of the booths at the home show.

Milwaukee, WI - Architecture

This past Wednesday I made my way up to Milwaukee for a photo gig. After the photoshoot, I managed to walk the street and take pictures of a lot of beautiful architecture in the city and yes this includes the magnificent Art Museum. However, I wasn't able to shoot everything I wanted to due to time and the fading light I got a lot of great shots. I hope to go back this summer, I completely missed a lot of the incredible churches that Milwaukee is home to.

Hoerr Building Group - New Construction

Yesterday I photographed the interior of one of Hoerr Building Group's new constructions here in Peoria, IL. This was a fun job due to the large wall of windows that allowed a lot of natural light to pour in, not to mention the house was gorgeous to start with. You can view more images on my facebook page.

Another Hoerr Building Group Project

Early this week I got pulled in to photograph a "basement" remodel for Hoerr Building Group. However as you'll see from the photos it's not your typical basement. This particular basement's feature list is endless. Here's a couple that might not be obvious from the pictures... Backlit marble counters and liquor shelf, flat panel TV behind bar mirror, and ventilation system for cigar smoke throughout basement. Enjoy!

This is indeed a fantastic short film. Very meditative showing the beauty of both architecture and photography through the brilliance of CG. Watch it and soak it in. This is one of those instances where I'd love to say I could do that, but I would be lying.

Dairy Barn?

This past week I was pulled in to photograph the interior of a barn in a small town in the Peoria area. I don't know about you, but I don't see barns like this everyday. To say the least I was impressed. Now, before you start thinking the entire barn was like this let me just say that through the doors at the end of the hall it quickly begun to look like your typical barn.

Chootanaga, TN (aka: Chattanooga)

A little history concerning the name. I concluded that the City of Chattanooga would benefit from changing their name to Chootanaga. First of all, it sounds cooler and second, it rolls off the tongue easier. So Chootanaga it is!

Now for the actual events. I joined a photog friend Jen for a wedding gig she had this past weekend. The evening before we had a little time leading up to the rehearsal dinner to tour the city. so we strutted around and took some snaps for yours and our enjoyment.
